The Forget-Me-Not has become our most popular mattress. If you lie on it and close your eyes, you may feel as though you are levitating. The reason for the sense of weightlessness is due to the combination of materials which are tufted by hand in the top panel of this extraordinary mattress. We use a brushed organic cotton twill fabric above a generous layer of cashmere and silk fibers blended with wool. Below that we have a blend of Alpaca and Wool. Below those exotic fibers are two sheets of the smallest micro coils. Each individual micro coil is ¾” in both diameter and height and each sheet has 4,000 micro coils in a queen-size sheet. We separate the micro coil sheets with a layer of needle punched organic cotton. The top panel is backed with a sheet of finely woven organic cotton canvas that serves to contain the 8,000 micro coils and the cloudlike fibers. The use of these micro coils provides excellent airflow as well as gentle support and comfort. They also diminish the lively feel typically associated with a hybrid spring and latex mattress.

Under the tufted top panel you have 3” of all natural Talalay latex in your choice of soft, medium, firm or extra firm density. The Forget-Me-Not can be ordered in any firmness you prefer on either side of the mattress. The latex layer resides on top of our Quad Coil spring system. All of this is encased in its organic cotton and wool zipper cover.

Hand tufting of mattresses is not a new idea, but the way we do it is unique. The traditional tufting process consists of an operator pushing a long needle through the mattress and tying a knot on the other side of the mattress. The threads serve to lock all the materials in place, however once all the tufts are in place that’s it. The edges are sewn together and the mattress is done. However, once the mattress is made with that technique there are no possible adjustments. We believe that testing a mattress in a showroom will give the buyer a good indication of the comfort the mattress will provide. It is not the same as sleeping on it. That is why all of our Slumber Bouquet organic mattresses have zipper covers. In the Forget-Me-Not and the forthcoming Honeysuckle Vegan Mattress we only tuft the top panel. This gives you the benefit of precisely dialed in tightness of the materials in the cover panel as well as the possibility of a comfort adjustment.
